State and Defense Departments officials testified on their coordination and oversight of contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan. They talked about a number of issues including the scope of reconstruction programs, coordination with U.S. and Iraqi officials, and corruption among local officials.

The Commission on Wartime Contracting is an eight-member bi-partisan independent commission created by Congress in 2008 to examine wartime contracting policies. This hearing is a follow-up to one that took place February 22, 2010. close
