James Finnegan recalls his year as a combat surgeon in Vietnam (1967-1968). He headed up a team of doctors in Khe Sanh during the 1968 siege by the North Vietnamese Army that lasted from January to April.  Dr. Finnegan, who was wounded during that battle, was awarded a Purple Heart medal and the Bronze Star for his service.  This talk was hosted by the Army and Navy Club in Washington, DC.  close
