Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve chair, spoke about financial regulation reform. In his remarks he said that financial firms must face the real threat of closure for any new regulations passed by Congress to be meaningful. He stated that as long as firms can count on the government to bail them out of problems, they’ll continue to engage in risky behavior. He also answered questions from the audience. close
