A panel discussion was held on three aspects of conservatism in the 1960s: evangelical conservatism, segregationists' contributions to mainstream conservatism, and the religious dimension of anticommunism. After the papers were presented, Mr. Schoenwald initiated a discussion with the panelists, who then responded to questions from members of the audience.
