Woody Williams was interviewed about his life and military service. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service with the 3rd Marine Division in the 1945 Battle of Iwo Jima.

The National World War II Museum in New Orleans conducted oral history interviews to record the experiences of World War II veterans and those Americans living and working on the Home Front. The location of the interview is not known. The interview was conducted November 16, 2006. close
