Charles Wohlforth, author of the book The Fate of Nature, talked about federal government response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and oil corporations' performances during these types of incidents. Other topics included long-term effects on the environment and wildlife, and the future of drilling for oil in deep water environments. Mr. Wohlforth was the former lead reporter for the Anchorage Daily News during the Exxon Valdez oil spill. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. close
