Andrew Young talked about his life and career, which included civil rights activism as an adviser to Martin Luther King, Jr., mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. His book Walk in My Shoes: Conversations Between a Civil Rights Legend and His Godson on the Journey Ahead (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010), is a compilation of an inter-generational correspondence with Kabir Sehgal on topics such as race, faith, and leadership. Former Ambassador Young also responded to questions from members of the audience. close
