Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and U.S. Trade Representative Ronald Kirk testified on U.S.-China trade issues. Among the topics they addressed was the valuation of the yuan and China’s promise to revalue the currency. Secretary Locke said the yuan remained undervalued, and that the U.S. government was reviewing charges by American companies that China was gaining an unfair trade advantage with its currency policy. close
