Representatives John Shimkus and Mike Doyle talked separately from Capitol Hill about the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s efforts in reclassifying parts of broadband Internet services as a telecommunications service. Representative Shimkus has opposed reclassification while Representative Doyle has supported it. They also discussed interest by members of Congress in updating the Communications Act.
