Panelists spoke about homeland security and the state of preparedness for a catastrophic terrorist attack such as the September 11 attacks on the U.S. Among the topics they addressed were the nature of terrorist threats, emergency response planning, intelligence gathering and inter-agency operations, as well as law enforcement and the protection of civil liberties. They also responded to questions from the audience.
