House Minority Leader John Boehner addressed the American Legion National Convention. He spoke about the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq. In his remarks he said that President Obama was claiming credit for a success built on a troop surge strategy he originally opposed. He also criticized President Obama’s July 2011 deadline for beginning a total withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, as well as his handling of other foreign policy issues in the Middle East. close
