Cameron Munter testified about his qualifications to represent the U.S. as ambassador to Pakistan. In his testimony he pledged “ceaseless engagement” to combat the country’s anti-Americanism, saying the U.S. needed to do a better job in explaining its motives. He also said that the U.S. should pursue a long-term commitment to help Pakistan fight Islamic extremism and recover from devastating floods that had left over 1,600 people dead. close
