Daniel Pletka talked about the views of conservatives on national defense, especially in regard to funding for efforts outside of the United States, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Ms. Pletka in a recent Washington Post editorial examined how the traditional view of defense spending by conservatives is being challenged by Libertarian and tea party movement philosophies of smaller government and fiscal discipline.
