Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Rhodes examines nuclear weapons holdings and the prospects for nuclear disarmament in the post-Cold War age. The author examines how the last twenty years has shaped the current debates over nuclear weaponry from the interest of non-nuclear states in developing the weapons and the diplomacy used to prevent their creation to the issues that nuclear powers face in regards to the cost of maintaining their holdings and the decision to downsize their arsenals. Richard Rhodes discussed his book at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History in Albuquerque, New Mexico. close
