William Kuhn recalls the publishing career of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who worked as an editor for Doubleday and Viking. Mr. Kuhn reports that although Ms. Onassis never authored a memoir, her selection of book projects mirrored her personal interests. Her books ranged from a history of Thomas Jefferson’s relationship with his slave, Sally Hemings, to the assassination of John Lennon, urban planning, and an effort to convince Michael Jackson to write his memoir. William Kuhn showed some slides during his presentation of his book at the Boston Athenaeum. He also responded to questions from members of the audience. close
