The governors of Maryland and Virginia and mayors of Oklahoma City and Indianapolis talked about their ideas in addressing high school dropout rates. Other topics included investing in education, early childhood education, school performance, and teacher unions. Gwen Ifill and Morton Kondracke moderated. 

High school senior Chelsea Johnson spoke at the beginning of the program about her college application experience. She was followed by the president of Community Relations of the Target Foundation talking about Target’s investments in education.  close
