Admiral Samuel Locklear, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa, briefed reporters on the status of U.S. military strikes against Muammar Qadhafi’s forces in Libya. Among his comments he said that U.S. forces had rescued one crew member of the fighter that crashed in Libya, and the other crew member was rescued by Libyans and then turned over to U.S. forces.
