Cecile Richards talked about the role of Planned Parenthood in the federal budget and political debate going on in Congress. The House voted to eliminate fiscal year 2011 federal funding for Planned Parenthood and Title X, which supports contraception services for low-income people. Four Republican senators oppose elimination of the funding. Congress has not reached agreement on a 2011 appropriations bill yet. close
