Leading academics from around the country discussed the labor movement in the U.S. as union issues were playing out in many state legislatures. Each panelists spoke on issues ranging from big picture union history to current events in the states to the culture of unions. One of the subjects that came up during questions and answers with the audience was the fact that most universities have business management courses, but relatively few have labor studies programs.  close
