Rick Baker, former mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida, talked about his book The Seamless City: A Conservative Mayor’s Approach to Urban Revitalization That Can Work Anywhere (Regnery, 2011). The two-term mayor presented his thoughts on the revitalization of American cities. He argued against a large government to solve city problems and presented what he deems a “seamless city” where no area in the city is under served. He responded to questions from members of the audience.

Rick Baker was introduced by New York City’s deputy mayor and the former mayor of Indianapolis, Stephen Goldsmith, at this breakfast forum of the Manhattan Institute’s Center for State and Local Leadership, held at the Harvard Club in New York City. close
