“The Civil War in Tampa Bay” was a Hillsborough Reads program held at the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library on May 12, 2011. Hillsborough Reads is a partnership program between the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System and the Tampa Bay History Center.
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2011 LCV Cities Tour” in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida, on May 9-13 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Bright House Networks local cable affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites to interview local historians, authors, and civic leaders. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
