French Foreign Minister Aain Juppe talked about political unrest in the Arab world and challenges to regional security in North Africa and the Middle East. He said he believed there were enough votes in the U.N. Security Council to pass a resolution condemning the violent repression of political protests in Syria. He also said Palestinians had expressed interest in resuming peace talks in Paris, while the Israelis have not yet rejected the idea. Following his prepared remarks he spoke with Martin Indyk and answered questions from the audience. close
