James O’Neill talked about the Thiel Foundation’s “20 Under 20 Program,” and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. The program is a nonprofit initiative that grants $100,000 to students under the age of 20 to drop out of college and pursue their interests for two years. The participants will have access to an extensive network of technology mentors. The Thiel Foundation’s Peter Thiel, a venture capitalist and former PayPal co-founder, believes education is the next economic bubble.

Mr. O’Neill participated from New York City.

C-SPAN Radio’s Nancy Calo read news headlines at the end of the program. close
