Sen. Johnson (R-WI) said he would object to further unanimous consent requests until the budget was dealt with. He subsequently objected to the quorum call being rescinded when Sen. Sessions (R-AL) rose to speak. At the end of the day majority leader Reid (D-NV) forced a vote compelling absent senators to come to the floor. This established a quorum and allowed the Senate to finish its business. close
