President Barack Obama addressed reporters on the status of debt and deficit reduction talks. He provided details on the package that Speaker Boehner walked away from on Friday. The President made known his requirement that any debt reduction plan must raise the debt ceiling through the next general election, to the beginning of 2013. Furthermore, he stated that he has asked congressional leaders to meet at the White House the following day to re-start negotiations. He also answered questions from reporters. close
