The Senate Banking Committee heard testimony on the nominations of three financial regulators, including President Obama’s choices to head the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and to be the next Comptroller of the Currency. The committee also considered a nominee for the Financial Stability Oversight Council, which the Dodd-Frank Financial Regulations law created to identify and respond to threats to the U.S. financial system. close
