House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and the head of the International Association of Fire Fighters spoke with reporters about a bill that would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from shutting down or relocating plants. Republican Tim Scott introduced the bill after the NLRB sought a court order that would force Boeing to close a new facility in South Carolina and move it to the state of Washington. The NLRB found that Boeing had opened the non-union South Carolina plant in retaliation against union workers in Washington.
