NASA Administrator Charles Bolden spoke about the future of NASA. He began his remarks by praising Congress for its bipartisan support of NASA and talked about retiring the space shuttle program. He joked that the shuttles had cutting edge technology but “entering the cockpit is like stepping into the 1970s.” He refuted the claim that American space capability to independently travel to the international space station was years away. close
