Vernon Loeb talked about his book, King’s Counsel: A Memoir of War, Espionage, and Diplomacy in the Middle East. The book tells the story about the late Jack O’Connell, a CIA station chief and later Jordan’s lawyer in Washington, and a close confidante of Jordan’s late King Hussein. The book tells the back-story behind the Mideast wars of 1967 and 1973 and their relevance to the today’s Mideast situation and the U.S. military and diplomatic policy in that region. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. close
