The CIA and National Intelligence directors testified about the threat against the U.S. posed by al-Qaida and other terror groups. In his first appearance as CIA director, General Petraeus said that al-Qaida’s recent losses of Osama bin Laden and others had opened “an important window of vulnerability,” but terrorist organizations remained motivated to attack. Other issues addressed were the use of unmanned drones, the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, and inter-agency cooperation. close
