Christine Lagarde spoke about the state of the global economy, saying that the global economy had entered a “very dangerous phase” of the economic crisis and without bold and collective action there was “real risk that major economies will slip back instead of move forward.” She also said she welcomed President Obama’s jobs proposal in the light of high unemployment in the United States.
