Chris Hoene talked about the National League of Cities' report showing that U.S. cities are facing their fifth straight year of shrinking revenues, and ways that municipalities are trying to recoup losses. Mr. Hoene said that the decreases are primarily caused by falling property values, declining collections of sales and income taxes, and the overall U.S. economy and shaky consumer confidence. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

C-SPAN Radio’s Nancy Calo read news headlines at the end of the program. close
