This film shows the many military activities around Washington, D.C., as posts in the Military District of Washington were visited. Activities shown included an arrival ceremony, parades, bands, the changing of the guard at the of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, ceremonial color guards at historic Mount Vernon, the “Old Guard” Caisson platoon of the 3rd Infantry at Fort Meyer, and anti-aircraft batteries in the surrounding suburbs responding to an alert. Sergeant McQueen interviewed various soldiers about their duties and the traditions of the regiment. A drill also showed the tanks of the 3rd Infantry rolling past the Pentagon and the men of the 2nd Battalion moving to strategic positions.
