The House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee met to vote on issuing a subpoena for White House communications related to solar energy panel maker Solyndra. The company received $535 million in loan guarantees from the Energy Department in early 2009 as part of the economic stimulus package and recently filed for bankruptcy. The committee voted in favor of the measure, with all Democratic members voting against it. close
