Hans Von Spakovsky and Jon Greenbaum talked about the impact of new voter identification laws across the U.S. They also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Mr. Von Spakovsky argued that just as identification is required more and more for entry into buildings for security purposes, such as he was asked to provide for entry into C-SPAN’s offices to appear on “Washington Journal,” voter identification is necessary for both security and voter impersonation and other fraud prevention. Mr. Greenbaum said that evidence of voter fraud is scant, and he cited cases such as Florida’s new voter laws that make the early voting process more difficult.

C-SPAN Radio’s Bobbi Jackson read news headlines at the end of the program. close
