Representative Tim Griffin (R-AR) talked about his proposed legislation that would eliminate the pension benefit offered to members of Congress, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Representative Griffin said his premise for the bill is his belief, “The broader issue we need to be addressing is pensions for civil service and government employees, and I don’t believe we have any credibility in that issue unless we first address our own house.”
