Bernie Becker talked about the announcement by the Postal Service (USPS) that it will reduce service to cut costs, and he esponded to telephone calls and electronic communications. The move could largely eliminate the chance of next-day delivery for stamped letters. USPS has proposed closing about half of its remaining 461 mail processing facilities, saving possibly $2.1 billion annually, and trimming at least 28,000 jobs, part of a broader plan to cut $20 billion in costs and as many as 120,000 positions by 2015. close
