President Obama announced that ten states were given approval to opt out of the “No Child Left Behind” education law. The increased flexibility was an effort by the administration to allow states to avoid some of the mandates in the law. The ten states were Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. close
