Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) talked about the 50th anniversary of the Senate Youth Program, of which she is an alumna. She discussed how the program influenced her life and meeting former Maine Senators Margaret Chase Smith and Edmund Muskie. She said the program teaches young people to get involved with government, and stressed that it can be especially beneficial for young women and encourages them to seriously consider running for public office. close
