Rebecca MacKinnon argues that Internet users' rights are being infringed upon by governments and corporations. The author points to the changes in Facebook’s privacy policies and the demands by certain governments for Google to censor information as examples of the pressures on users to concede their personal freedoms on-line. Rebecca MacKinnon was joined by Jillian York in discussing these issues at the World Affairs Council of Northern California in San Francisco. They were interviewed by Joseph Menn and responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. close
