Authors talked about two different men whose experiences in World War II were extraordinary, but not well-known. Robert Gillette talked about his book The Virginia Plan: William B. Thalhimer and a Rescue from Nazi Germany. Then Elliot Carlson talked about his book Joe Rochefort’s War: The Odyssey of the Codebreaker Who Outwitted Yamamoto at Midway. Both authors used slides during their presentations. After the presentations they both responded to questions from members of the audience.
