Mitt Romney was a keynote speaker at the annual convention of the American Society of News Editors (ASNE). In his remarks he talked extensively about President Obama’s policies, saying they made the economic crisis worse and slowed recovery. Following his remarks, he answered questions from Ken Paulson of ASNE. The first question had to do with President Obama’s previous day remarks at the ASNE Associated Press lunch. Mr. Romney said the president’s comments were full of “distortions and inaccuracies.” Other question topics included Iran, and women voters' attitudes toward the Republican Party. close
