Scott Farris presents a history of men who ran for the U.S. presidency and lost. The author examines why each candidate failed and posits that the loser often infused new ideas and presented their respective political party the opportunity to re-imagine their platform and so may have had more of an impact on American history than the men who actually won. Scott Farris responded to questions from members of the audience at Rediscovered Books in Boise, Idaho. This presentation was part of the spring event of the Political Science Alumni Association of Boise State University. close
