Former President George W. Bush recognized and honored activists from around the world who fought for freedom and human rights. Among them was notable Myanmar democracy leader and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi who appeared via Skype for remarks and questions from the audience. 

The event titled a “Celebration of Human Freedom” also featured the Bush’s “Freedom Collection.” It focuses on the world’s most significant democratic movements and the stories behind them from the 20th and 21st centuries. close
