Christine Lagarde and George Osboune spoke to reporters following their meeting on the British economy. Director Lagarde in her comments said that fiscal policies instituted by the British government had averted a larger financial crisis, but she recommended the nation adopt more stimulus measures. She also discussed other potential threats to the stability of the British and European economies at-large, including the possibility that Greece might leave the European Union. close
