Conor Kennedy talked about reform for Wall Street financial firms, and his belief that the Glass-Steagall Act should be reinstated. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Glass-Steagall was enacted in 1933 as a response to the failure of almost 5,000 banks during the Great Depression. The law created the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, separated commercial and investment banking, and regulated speculation.
