Kenneth Walsh talked about the operation and use of Air Force One, the president’s official aircraft. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Topics included the history of presidential planes, and the cost of using and maintaining the planes.
Mr. Walsh, the author of the 2004 book, Air Force One: A History of the Presidents and Their Planes, has traveled with Presidents Reagan, George H.W. and George W. Bush, Clinton, and Obama.
