Jen Marlowe talked about her co-author, former Palestinian militant Sami Al Jundi, who, after a bomb he and his friends were building exploded prematurely, was imprisoned by the Israelis. Following a ten-year stint in prison, he began advocating non-violent change and co-founded the Seeds of Peace Center for Coexistence in Jerusalem, an organization that brings together Israeli and Palestinian youth in an effort to bridge the divide between the two societies. During her presentation, Ms. Marlowe showed a clip of Mr. Al Jundi from the documentary film Encounter Point. Ms. Marlowe responded to questions from members of the audience at Writers & Books in Rochester, New York. close
