Cate Edwards, daughter of former Senator and 2004 vice presidential nominee John Edwards (D-NC), spoke about her experiences campaigning for her father in 2004 and 2008. She said that often times both Democratic and Republican candidates end up on the opposite spectrum with no one representing the middle. Other topics included a foundation she started to honor her mother, who died from cancer in 2010, and her role models, Hillary Clinton and Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, who was Ms. Edwards' law professor. She also took questions from audience members. close
