Panelists talked about campaign ad spending in the 2012 presidential election, the first since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision. Erika Fowler detailed campaign spending, the types of ads running, and who is paying for them. Viveca Novak in her remarks said that the Federal Election Commission could require that ad sponsors disclose the names of their donors. They responded to questions from the audience. close
